PANA Soccer League’s main objective is to provide a space for those who share the passion for soccer, as well as those who want to discover it, can come together and participate in the sport. This is done with the priority of safety and well being of all members, players, assistants, referees and organizers always being at the top of our list.
While we cover several points about conduct and behavior in our rules, our code of conduct supplements it to further provide guidance on the attitude we bring to our leagues and we hope to see from our members.
Respect - treat others as you would like to be treated. Respect is expected from others and from ourselves. Respect is both physical as well as verbal, both in and out of the pitch. There should never be any attempt to harm or hurt anyone in the league in any way, shape or form.
Honesty - transparency is essential in any relationship, as friends, teammates and league members (participants and organizers). Dishonesty that can impact game results or the opportunity of anyone else to play is unacceptable.
Inclusivity - we welcome everyone and all players that meet our age requirements. We will prioritize an equitable, inclusive environment where all are treated as equals, in and out of the pitch. We have mixed gender minimums across our league, but do not judge gender based on physical appearance. We expect teams to respect these guidelines, and their peers across the league.
Collaboration - Soccer is a team sport, where the sum of the parts is bigger than the individual. This means bringing a team first mindset. Support your team, be mindful of time played so as to give everyone a chance, thinking how negative behavior can impact those around you, teammates included. We encourage a community that embraces the game as a collective, and can work well together with all members of it.
Safety - as we’ve stated before, making sure that everyone has a good time and avoids injury is our priority. This means avoiding excessive physical aggression. Soccer is a contact sport but it does not have to be a wrestling match. We can be competitive and involved, while avoiding dangerous plays or injuries. Same goes for banter and verbal behavior. Referees will make mistakes, and while they work to do their best, respect their calls, and if in disagreement, discuss outside of gameplay in a civilized manner.
